Regardless of crowd and noise, the Colombo is a fascinating colorful city. It imposes both historical and modern lush. Colonial buildings of Portuguese, Dutch and British are conserved and still are in use. The Galle Face Green is a free beachside with colorful scenery of locals and spicy crunchy food. The artistic eyed people always stop at open art markets, peaceful mornings and evenings at independence square and all day opened blessing and mind calmer temples too make the Colombo is a lust destination on the way through.

Following the breakfast, transfer to Sigheraja Rainforest area.
 
Designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1978 and then a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988, Sinharaja is one of the best biodiversity hotspots in Sri Lanka. It is a frequently visited nature reserve that has a colorful mythological past. The forest covers an area of approximately 11,200 hectares, measuring 21 kilometres from east to west and from north to south just less than four kilometres. The Sinharaja Rainforest is situated in the southwest lowland Wet Zone of Sri Lanka and the elevation ranges from 200 to 1,300 metres. It is noted for being a habitat for 95 percent of the endemic birds found in Sri Lanka.

Sinharaja – a beautiful tropical evergreen forest in Ratnapura, declared by the UNESCO as a Word Heritage forest. You have a sprawling 6092 hectares of forest reserve to walk around and enjoy.
Traversing the valleys and streams and moss-covered boulders there will be much to see than endemic plants and trees here. Very much alive with life and sound; where Leopards, Hump Nosed Lizard, Sri Lankan Munias, Flower peckers, sunbirds, fly catchers, Mynas, Babblers, Monarchs, Wabblers, Prinias, Bul Buls, Wagtails, Drongos, Orioles, Leafbirds, Woodpeckers, barbets, Pigeons, Nuthatchs, Hornbills, Blue Magpie, Owls and Coucals and other mammals, birds and butterflies thrive. Yes you need to be prepared for those rare encounters too. 
To enjoy this a beautiful rainforest trek in its very essence and absorb its mesmerizing story, you will have to do a good 8 to 10-hour walking round trip.  This forest adventure of yours - a memorable one it is going to be indeed!

After breakfast, visit the Elephant Transit Home and the Udawalawa National Park for a wild game drive. Framed by soaring highlands on its northern boundary, the Uda Walawe National Park is one of the world's best places to see wild elephants. Largely comprised of grasslands and bush forest, it's also one of the best national parks in Sri Lanka for game spotting.

Following breakfast, you will be heading further up the misty mountains to Nuwara Eliya. You are in the Land of Ceylon Tea so this part of the country shouldn’t be missed.

The picturesque Nuwara Eliya – also known the world over as ‘little England’ has wonderful tea estates. Get into the car and get ready to explore these heavenly highlands! The tour will take you on a scenic drive through acres of lush tea estates; here you will see tea pickers, mostly females clad in sarees, carefully picking the tender two leaves and a bud which are essential to making fine tea. You will have the opportunity to visit a tea factory to witness the process of making your cuppa. May we also remind you not forget to indulge in the pleasure in fine Ceylon Tea- Black Tea, Green Tea, Oolong Tea, or silver Tips whatever your choice is;

Through the misty climate proceed to Cultural triangle. Arrive Sigiriya and excursion to Lion Rock.
 
Sigiriya Rock Fortress, the royal palace is situated in the core of the island between the towns of Dambulla and Habarane on a gigantic rock plateau-shaped from magma of a wiped-out spring of gushing lava, is 200 meters higher than the encompassing wildernesses. Its view dumbfounds the guests with an excellent combination of nature and human creativity. The complex incorporates remainders of a demolished royal residence, encompassed by a broad system of fortresses, gardens, lakes, alleys, canals, and fountains. The encompassing regions of Sigiriya were repressed for several thousand years.

A shout out to all the keen hikers out there.  If you are heading towards Anuradhapura, this should be in your things to do list.
Exploring Sri Lanka’s largest and the oldest national park.  Lush vegetation, herds of deer, leopards, sea eagles, mammals and reptiles, inland lakes (Wilpattu meaning natural lakes in Sinhala) are what makes this a unique travel spot.
Did you know that, there are historically important sites scattered through the Wilpattu jungle?
This is where the founder of the birth of the Sinhala civilization is said to have arrived.  He landed at Thambaanni- meaning the red terrain.  The sand timed water basins said to have been used by a queen of the Yakka tribe who used to have lived here have now turned bathing spots for the wild animals. The heart of the jungle still carries the traces of this by gone era - the stone pillar of a royal palace.

Spend you evening admiring the scenic view of the Catamaran sail boats retuning from the sea at sunset. Take a look around the handcraft shops at Lewis Place, if you want a souvenir or two back from your journey that is!
